The female man. Joanna Rus. 1975. 204 p.
Book description:
It has influenced William Gibson and been listed as one of the ten essential works of science fiction. Most importantly, Joanna Russ's THE FEMALE MAN is a suspenseful, surprising and darkly witty chronicle of what happens when Jeannine, Janet, Joanna, and Jael—four alternative selves from drastically different realities—meet.
Opinion:
I didn't manage to engage with either the plot or any of the characters, although I admit that it contains some very good lines. But the fact is that I think that sometimes a book doesn't fall into our hands at the right time and we don't mentally connect with it, that's why I think I'll read it again later and I'm sure I'll love it.
